Sha Hammond Barnes is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, initiated Fall 2018 into the Eta Nu Omega Chapter. Sha attended Alcorn State University and finished her bachelor's degree at California State University, Los Angeles. She attained her Master's in Public Administration (MPA) at National University and is currently writing her dissertation to complete her Doctorate in Education (EdD) at City University of Seattle ( 2024). 

Sha has served and continues to serve in many capacities within her chapter, Eta Nu Omega and Alpha Kappa Alpha, including being member of an International committee. Sha was also appointed as the 1st Chaplain to NPHC-IE. It is a position that she is most honored and humbly proud to have held and served.

Sha Hammond Barnes has worked for County of Riverside, DPSS for over 10 years. She is also an ordained pastor, wife, and mother to 3 adult sons but the ones who call her "Dida" bring her immense joy and those are her g'babies.
